If you find that the teacher you start with isn't the right instructor for you, just notify the office team and request a different teacher. It's important to us that your learning experience is the best it can be.

The atmosphere at the Academy is relaxed, casual and supportive, not competitive and academic. We believe that learning an instrument has to be fun first. Many of our students are very serious about their studies - but they are enjoying it at the same time.

Our studios are equipped with everything you need to learn and play your instrument or sing. You'll hear and meet plenty of fellow students playing music all around you. Inspiring our students is one of our key missions at MMA.
4. Free Trial Lesson
When you first start at MMA we invite you to take a Free Trial Lesson. It gives you a chance to meet your teacher and discuss your goals before you sign up. We are the only music school in the area that offers you this opportunity because it's important to us that you're happy with your instructor.
5. Make Connections
Many friendships have been formed at the Academy since we started. Bands that started in our Band Workshops are now regularely performing locally. Students perform with each other at our concerts and events. MMA is a great place to meet like minded musicians.
6. Small Group Sizes
We keep group sizes for all instruments to 4-6 students in general. Vocal group sizes can vary. That way, you'll get plenty of attention from your teacher.
7. Flexible Payment & Scheduling Options
Individual Lessons can be paid and arranged either a half term in advance or on a lesson-by-lesson basis.
8. Great Opportunities to Perform
Part of being a musician is performing. Of course we don't force any student to perform in our concerts, but it's a great opportunity to play with fellow students and musicians. We have a variety of events throughout the year, from Summer and Christmas concerts to 'The Gig' for our band players and dedicated Vocal and Piano concerts. At MMA, you'll have many chances to get up on stage and show what you've learned.
9. Friendly Staff & Waiting Area
Our office team would like to make your experience at MMA the best it can be. There's no need to wait in the car, just come in and have a chat with our staff over a hot cup of tea or coffee.
10. Easy Parking
We have our own multi bay parking area right in front of the Academy. It's fully secure and there's no need for you to worry about parking.
