• Singing and Vocalisation. Using popular songs and nursery rhymes your child will learn the language of music and become actively involved in music making. Singing introduces your child to different songs from around the world, builds confidence, stimulates imagination and imporves social skills. Apart from that, it's simply great fun!
• Movement. Musical games and dancing improve physical coordination and general musicanship, aid self-expression and memory.
• Exploring Musical Instruments. Your child will have the opportunity to experience different types of instruments first hand by actively participating in music making. Percussion, keyboard and string instruments will be explored.
• Musicianship. Children will be introduced to melodic and rhythmic notation and identify notes in the treble clef. They develop an understanding of rhythm and timing through interactive and fun games.
• Active Listening. By listening to recordings your child will learn to identify orchestral and contemporary instruments and gain awareness of several musical genres and styles. Children will be encouraged to respond to emotional and expressive elements in music.
